The presented multichannel spatial sound installation /'metronome.of.time./ was created within the framework of 'The Border Laboratory' program of the festival Access Point VII for the site-specific sketch 'Endless Work' of our group /Pasha Dorokhov, Masha Sapizhak, Dasha Shift/. The performance took place in the space of an abandoned building of a once dwelling house between Kotovsky Street and Flax Spinning Street in Ivangorod.
The compositions are named according to the spatial location of 10 bluetooth speakers in the building /most of the speakers played several compositions, which is indicated in the title ['1]/['2], etc./.
Part of the sound space of the installation consists of sounds recorded during the laboratory: walking through abandoned buildings, electric current, birds singing in the Ivangorod fortress, etc.
For the audio installation, Pasha, Masha and Dasha read texts from scraps of newspapers that survived the process of gluing numerous layers of wallpaper and remained on the walls of rooms on the 3rd floor. /The program of TV shows, announcements of purchase and sale, folk signs, recipes, questionnaires, when birds will arrive and fly away, when what plants to plant and when not, a lot about politics /of course/, joining the political party, romantic stories, sports, the lives of saints, what temperature should milk be for mashed potatoes and the Song of Solomon 5: 1 in the synodal translation./
Also, in the creation of the sound context, the recorded sounds of the electro-acoustic cello of the NACHALO project were used.
[Song of Solomon 5:1.
I came to my garden, my sister, my bride,
I gathered my myrrh with my spice,
I ate my honeycomb with my honey,
I drank my wine with my milk.
Eat, friends, drink, and be drunk with love!]
